Monitor and edit serial port data flows
Serial Port Sniffer ActiveX Control can monitor data flows, and moreover, edit them. It creates additional virtual COM port in the system with the same name as the monitored serial port.
All data that is sent to and from serial port goes to the virtual port created by this component and is being logged into special, defined document. You can substitute data chunks with the data of your own, thus influencing the process of COM port sniffing.
With Serial Port Sniffer ActiveX you can:
Replace data being sent between port and application with your own commands
Serial Port Sniffer ActiveX gives you the ability to influence the monitoring process. As all transmitted data is intercepted in the virtual port, created by our component, you can easily substitute it with any data characters and commands of your own to get deeper into the monitoring process.
Monitor data flows between COM port and application
With COM Port Sniffer ActiveX you will be able to fully monitor data flows between application and serial port. It allows you to detect control lines changes, handflow, baudrate and ring state changes, and track timeout updates. Serial Port Sniffer Components methods allow you to check whether the port is being sniffed, open the serial port to be sniffed and close the port after sniffing.
Take full control of all signal lines
Serial Port Sniffer ActiveX gives you the ability to influence the monitoring process. As all transmitted data is intercepted in the virtual port, created by our component, you can easily substitute it with any data characters and commands of your own to get deeper into the monitoring process.
